Cost Accounting
Cost accounting and controlling are indispensable tools in planning, steering and monitoring operational success, and a component in the integrated DISO cost accounting and production reporting module. These tools generate informative reports used to monitor operational success, to examine the yields from individual jobs, detect deviations, examine hourly rates and monitor overall operational yields. The results output by DISO time management are used as the basis for controlling.
This cost accounting can feature differing degrees of detail, to provide insights into the production sequence at any point in time. The controller compares set-point values with budgeted values or with comparison figures from earlier periods. In job follow-up procedures, the orders which are received are monitored by the cost accounting module, taking the values and the periods into account, and the yields are forecast. While the job is in progress, job costing routines, which run in parallel, determine the budgeted results and, once the job is completed, automatically makes up the job costing figures; here the set-point values worked out in costing can be compared with the planned and the actual values.
Another important and interesting instrument in the cost accounting feature for the cost controller is the cost center accounting. All the relevant data are drawn together with this tool and organized according to a pre-defined model. User-definable offsetting and allocation keys provide the controller extensive design leeway to make operational events transparent and clear. This DISO cost accounting option can be expanded to provide flexible budget accounting, to determine budgeted hourly rates, and to project planned operational returns. DISO cost accounting can identify weak points early on and effectively control costs.
Merchandise Management
The DISO merchandise management module is characterized by lean, item-oriented sales processing and by an autonomous solution to depict extensive warehouse structures – necessary in organizing high-rise storage, for example. The merchandise management module can be implemented as a stand-alone solution or to augment the other DISO modules and covers all trade and sales activities: products produced in-house and sent to the warehouse, or bought from the outside and marketed as stock items, or whether customer orders that are handled as drop shipments. The integrated order handling feature triggers the order and in a single process issues the shipping documents. Effective monitoring programs are provided to check prompt delivery of goods by your suppliers.
The DISO merchandise management is particularly suitable whenever it is necessary to pick, dispatch and invoice for items in high-profile sales assignments without excess effort. To automate pricing when setting up the order, special tables can be used to store discounts and prices according to a number of criteria. A fixed component in the merchandise management module is its international orientation -- items can be set up in several languages and currencies.
Items which are not on hand are noted when the order is accepted and – unless otherwise desired by the user – will be back-ordered. Once sufficient stocks are on hand, the delivery of back-ordered items can be automated with merchandise management optimization programs. Options can be activated to generate production orders for finishing stock items. DISO merchandise management capabilities and random inventory management supports the assignment of similar items to suitable locations. Picking orders are converted into picking platform traversing commands and withdrawals are posted automatically.
