Mounting printing plates on a Twinlock Sleeve is different in many ways compared to the current mounting technique. With fast changing times, clean mounting and demounting, the long lasting adhesion and the permanent compressibility, perfect print results on lines solids and screen, higher press speeds and many other advantages, we offer you the best sleeve available. The Twinlock Sleeve is self adhesive and compressible. Self adhesive because of the permanent tacky polymeric surface. Compressible because of a high quality polyurethane forma which is combined with the Twinlock material. This P.U. foam has the characteristic to maintain optimal compressibility during and after heavy usage. Normal cushion mounting tapes will lose compressibility throughout the print cycle, resulting in more dot gain and squashed images. The Twinlock Sleeve does not suffer from compression wear-out. The Twinlock Sleeve is available in different types of surface hardness. The medium density is the most used compressibility. It the most suitable for the majority of printing works. Ninety-five percent of today`s flexo can be printed with that shore hardness. For very critical vignettes, Twinlock Sleeve also offers a softer PU foam which absorbs vibrations even better. This Twinlock Sleeve has a relatively hard surface, combined with a soft P.U. compressible foam. The Twinlock surface itself is based on a shrink free layer, stabilizing the P.U. foam. This combination results in less dot gain and an improved solid. Twinlock can be applied to new sleeves as well as old sleeves. In order to coat existing sleeves, the sleeves can be modified to suit the thickness of Twinlock. Twinlock offers the opportunity to switch over to thinner plate technology. By adjusting the outside diameter of the sleeve with Twinlock, 1.14mm and 1.7mm plates can be used instead of 2.54mm and 2.84mm plates.

You simply insert the sticky plate into the machine where a transport system takes over. The first station is a flush system that sprays the (water based) cleaner on the printing plates. The cleaner begins to dissolve the ink on the printing plate. Then a very soft, fine haired, brush cleans the plate. Directly after washing, the in-line drying section finishes the process. The sticky plate will emerge from the machine when the cycle is completed, bringing perfectly cleaned printing plates. The Polymount Plate Cleaner is economical and very environmentally friendly The plate cleaner contains a tank holding 125 liters of water based cleaner. This cleaner is constantly re-used in a closed circulation system. A unique combination of filters and a cascade system in the tank makes sure that the cleanest solution is always used for washing the plates. The cleaning solution is especially developed for this machine enabling the operator to clean large amounts of printing plates. After having washed thousands of sqm on a tank, the container can be removed and emptied by re-connecting a valve, pumping the dirty detergent into a waste barrel. The Polymount Plate Cleaner is the first automated plate cleaner, that flushes, brushes and dries the plate in one production cycle. By utilising the unique way of mounting and transporting the dirty plates, it is the fastest and most user friendly automated plate cleaner in the market today. Polymount Plate Cleaner XL Last year we introduced the Polymount Plate Cleaner, and as result of its great success we have now developed a bigger size machine offering a greater wash capacity. The operating width on the normal machine is 820 mm. The new bigger plate cleaner cleans up to 1200 mm wide. The sticky plate on this machine has a standard length of 2000 mm. We named this machine the Polymount Plate Cleaner XL. We have so far installed two XL machines in Germany and one in Turkey. The cleaning capacity of this machine is up to 100 M2 per 8 hour shift. Twinlock Cleaner Polymount International offers a special cleaner to clean the Twinlock Sleeve. This friendly Twinlock Cleaner is based on carbon hydrates and isopropanol. Normally you can clean the Twinlock Sleeve with products such as ethyl acetate or isopropanol (available for almost every flexo printer). However, for long runs or when the plates are very dirty we advise you to use our cleaner. Mounting Rollers Mounting on the Twinlock Sleeve is easier and quicker when using a mounting roller. You no longer need your hands to secure the plate to the adhesive. Air bubbles between plate and sleeve are history when using the mounting roller. Use the roller from left to right during mounting. This product has also been developed by us and is used all over the world by flexo printers. Polywash 1000 Polywash 1000 is suitable to wash water, solvent and UV inks. It is a friendly water-based cleaner developed to be used with the Polymount Plate Cleaner. The odour is very low and the flash point is above 75 C Polywash 3000 Polywash 3000 is for all types of ink and is a more aggressive cleaner. It cleans fast and extremely well. The concept of cleaning and drying applies to the Polymount Sleeve Cleaner too. The sleeve cleaner cleans and dries sleeves in approximately seven minutes. We currently have two sleeve cleaning machines in operation at customer`s sites in Holland. Both machines will be tested until the end of the year. We hope to announce the official launch of the Polymount Sleeve Cleaner at the beginning of the New Year. OEC Graphics, Twinlock Sleeve OEC Graphics in Wisconsin was recently appointed to become our exclusive distributor/dealer for the North American market.
