Kodak’s growing business in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was further enhanced by the activities of its channel allies Nissa and Amos at the recent Polygraphinter exhibition held in Moscow.
Both companies reported high levels of interest in the Kodak solutions being shown. Nissa was the biggest single exhibitor at Polygraphinter and the company’s 1200 square metre booth included an impressive array of Kodak computer-to-plate equipment, including a Kodak Magnus 400 platesetter with Multi-Cassette Unit outputting Kodak Thermal Direct non process printing plates; an 8-up Kodak Magnus 800 Quantum platesetter; and a complete Kodak Trendsetter News 150 thermal platesetter plate line running Kodak ThermalNews Gold printing plates. Visitor interest in workflow tools was also strong, and Nissa showed the power and flexibility of Kodak’s prepress workflow products. Demonstrations of the Kodak Prinergy Connect and Prinergy Evo workflow systems illustrated how advanced PDF-based workflow processing can be scalable and flexible to meet the needs of businesses of different types and sizes.
A plate gallery including exposed examples of the full range of Kodak digital printing plates also featured on the Nissa booth.
Amos represents Kodak products for flexo printing and the range of Kodak NexPress digital production colour presses. A five-colour NexPress 2500 with NexGlosser glossing unit was running live at the show, generating considerable attention from visitors, and Amos reported strong leads for both digital printing and flexo equipment. Kodak’s flexo portfolio encompasses an integrated suite of Kodak products, including workflow software, proofing systems and computer-to-plate (CTP) devices.
Yosef Ben Dor, GCG sales director for Eastern Europe, commented, 'Kodak is building a strong position in the region thanks to the successful relationships we have forged with Nissa and Amos. We are extremely pleased at the positive results from Polygraphinter and look forward to building upon this success in the coming months.' |
