
Fletcher will oversee portfolio that includes KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Presses and KODAK DIGIMASTER Digital Systems
Kodak has named Steve Fletcher General Manager, Electrophotographic Printing Solutions, and Vice President, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group (GCG). Fletcher will manage the company's industry leading portfolio of electrophotographic solutions, including KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Color Platform and KODAK DIGIMASTER Digital Production Systems.
Fletcher joined Kodak as General Manager, New Printing Technologies, and Vice President, Consumer Digital Group, in June 2007. He will maintain those responsibilities in his new role. Prior to Kodak, Fletcher was President and Chief Operating Officer of Konica Minolta Printing Solutions in Ramsey, N.J., where he oversaw the company's printer business in North and South America.
"Steve Fletcher brings 20 years of experience in digital printing to the GCG, and he's the right person to lead the growth of our NEXPRESS Press and DIGIMASTER System businesses," said Philip J. Faraci, President and Chief Operating Officer, Eastman Kodak Company. "In addition to his extensive background in digital solutions for business and consumer applications, he has a deep knowledge of the unique needs of the graphic communications market."
Fletcher has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Tally Printer Corporation of Seattle, Wash., a manufacturer of high speed line matrix printers. Fletcher was also Vice President and General Manager of NEC's Imaging Division in San Jose, Calif., and held marketing management positions at Apple Computer and Hewlett Packard.
Fletcher holds an MBA and bachelors in engineering from the University of Michigan.
Fletcher succeeds Venkat "Puru" Purushotham, who will leave Kodak at the end of 2007 after 26 years of service to pursue other business opportunities.Purushotham will remain with the company through year end to ensure a smooth transition.
